Presenting the Chicken Scratch Collection!

This farm-inspired collection began as a way to find joy in creating again.

After more than a decade painting coastal waves, I closed my gallery, moved back to my family’s farm, and suddenly the wide-open possibilities felt overwhelming.

So I turned to what was right in front of me—chickens darting through the yard, wildflowers growing where the farmers see only weeds, quiet skies over the barns.

No deadlines. No pressure. Just small studies of the everyday life unfolding around me.
What happened surprised me.

These sketches and paintings stitched me back to the rhythm of creating—reminding me that inspiration isn’t always grand. Sometimes it’s in the soft cluck of a hen, the tilt of a horse’s head, or a tangle of weeds in the sun.
